A well-established transport and plant operation based in Avonmouth is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to support the maintenance, servicing, and repair of their fleet of plant machinery in their workshop. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical expertise who enjoys working with heavy equipment in a fast-paced workshop and on-site environment. Role Overview * Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on a variety of plant machinery
Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description. * Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults * Repair, replace, and refurbish components as required * Respond to machinery breakdowns both on-site and in the workshop * Conduct safety inspections to ensure full compliance with regulations * Maintain accurate service logs and documentation * Test and verify machinery performance following repairs Requirements * Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Technician * Strong understanding of plant machinery and mechanical systems, with experience across brands such as JCB, CAT, Volvo, Komatsu * Confident in diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills * Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety * Full UK driving licence preferred Desirable: * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent * Experience working with equipment such as excavators, dumpers, loaders, and other construction machinery * Welding or basic fabrication skills Salary & Benefits * Competitive salary (DOE) * Working hours: 6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday * Company van provided (Benefit in Kind) xehkeey * Opportunities for overtime * Ongoing training and development * Supportive and experienced team environment Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
