We are currently recruiting for a Planning Support Officer to join a busy Housing/Construction Services team in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with strong coordination and customer service skills. A BASIC DBS is required for this role prior to starting.

• Schedule and reschedule work for operatives efficiently
• Liaise with managers, contractors, and teams to improve service delivery
• Prioritise building safety works to maintain full compliance
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues
• Monitor performance and support KPI reporting
• Coordinate cyclical, responsive, and emergency repairs

• Strong admin and organisational skills
• Experience in scheduling/planning (housing, repairs, or construction desirable)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• IT confident with a customer-focused approach
