Planning, Property and Development Principal Lawyer (Town Hall, South Shields/Hybrid) £57,869 per annum South Tyneside Council is seeking a qualified lawyer to undertake a mix of property and planning work. Working with a small but skilled and dedicated team, this is an opportunity to play a central role in a variety of high profile and high value regeneration projects, and contribute to the work being done to achieve the Council’s ambitions. Undertake non‑contentious property transactions and planning work Play a central role in high profile regeneration projects Support major regeneration initiatives with a pragmatic approach

Requirements

Experience of non‑contentious property transactions and/or planning law and procedure Strong expertise in either property or planning, with an interest in developing knowledge in the other Pragmatic approach to supporting major regeneration initiatives

Working Arrangement The role can be undertaken on a hybrid basis; attendance at Planning Committee meetings once a month is required.
