A well-established and growing regional housebuilder is looking for a Planner to join their planning department. The role will support the delivery of regional planning and profit targets, while helping to identify cost-effective solutions for the discharge of planning conditions and reserved matters.
Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below. Planner Duties: Supporting the Design and Technical teams in delivering regional planning and profit targets
Monitoring individual site programmes and coordinating necessary actions alongside internal teams and, where required, external town planning consultants
Liaising with local authorities to agree mechanisms and action plans to discharge planning conditions and consents required to implement site approvals
Assisting with the discharge of pre-start Section 106 obligations and planning requirements
Chasing progress and coordinating activity across internal departments to ensure programmes are maintained
Monitoring progress with local authorities and external agencies to avoid delays and support programme delivery
Assisting with the preparation of monthly progress reports, highlighting progress and any risks to programme
Planner Specification: Full UK Driving Licence
Post-qualification experience in a planning role (developer, consultancy, xehkeey or local authority)
Experience supporting residential or residential-led mixed-use developments
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders
Strong organisational skills with an understanding of planning processes and programme management
Typically 2+ years experience working for a developer, consultancy, or local authority
