Review the Employer’s Requirements, Contract Data and Works Information and highlight any deficiencies or omissions. Prepare and maintain detailed engineering, procurement and construction schedules. Contribute to assessment of programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures. Progress monitoring and regular updating of the construction programme, including forecasting of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures. Produce reports and programme narratives to meet the defined project reporting requirements. Develop resource histograms as required. Prepare short‑term programmes in conjunction with the project team. Include cost data in the programme and produce cash flow forecasts. Provide advice to the project team on when delays to the critical path are likely and the potential impact. Produce phasing diagrams, narratives or presentations to demonstrate strategy and sequence as required. Coordinate designers and other suppliers’ works and integrate them into the project programme. In conjunction with Commercial and Project teams develop the programme for change events. Monitor productivity to determine trends and to assist in forecasting. Interface with other functional teams, including BIM, design, estimation and construction execution teams. Provide productivity as‑built data accumulated from the works to allow feedback. Encourage sharing of information and best practice and communication between Business Units. Report data and progress to the Planning Manager.Qualifications Degree/HND/HNC in Construction, Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification. Competence in appropriate planning software. Experience within relevant construction environments. Active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques. Clear understanding and working knowledge of the commercial and contractual processes within the planning function. Ability to resource and cost‑load programmes and produce outputs that clearly demonstrate this information. Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
