What Are We Looking For? Our Mechanical Trades in Muir of Ord are looking for a Pipefitter to join the team on a full time permanent basis. As a Pipefitter, youll work alongside an established team and be required to fabricate and form pipework and manifolds through safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment. Please note there is travel and working away from home required as part of this role with accommodation provided by RSE, as well as a healthy subsistence allowance. Some of Your Key Duties Include: Fabricate pipework from customer samples and/or engineers drawings to client & industry specifications. Undertake maintenance/repair work in existing pipework systems Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems Safe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipment Assist other disciplines when required Accurately record man-hours Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holders appropriate skill set Opportunities to work both within our local fabrication workshop and remotely as part of our site installation teams in Scotland. What Do You Need? Time served and fully qualified with experience within the fabrication/engineering industry The ability to operate a range of metal forming machines, including, Grinders, Pipe Benders, Die Equipment Demonstrate a clear understanding of the sequence of events required to fabricate and form pipe work, and manifolds including site run of pipework without drawings Possession of MSRA, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Asbestos awareness certificates is preferred but not essential.
