The Role Physics Teacher As a Physics Teacher, you will:
Deliver a rigorous and sequenced physics curriculum across KS3 and KS4
Secure strong subject knowledge in mechanics, electricity, waves, energy and atomic structure
Use assessment to identify misconceptions and address gaps
Adapt teaching to support pupils with SEND and those new to English
Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic focus
Contribute to curriculum development within the science department
The Ideal Physics Teacher Will Have: QTS and a strong academic background in physics
Experience teaching physics at KS3 and KS4, supporting through GCSEs and A-Levels
High expectations for achievement and conduct
Confidence using assessment to inform planning, with familiarity of exam boards such as AQA and Edexcel
Commitment to inclusion and equal access
Clear communication and strong classroom presence
