PFI CaretakerLocation: OldhamSalary: £23,500 - Pay Award Pending (1/4/26)You will be a point of contact for customer queries when on site and manage customer expectations. You will promote a positive image of Great Places through the establishment of good working relationships with customers by being present in our neighbourhoods. You will be working in a physical role and as part of a dedicated, hard working and flexible team to manage and ensure the success of our customers accommodation in Oldham PFI areas.What youll be doingResponsibility for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety and repair to our estates, blocks and schemes.Carrying out hoovering, sweeping, mopping, cleaning of stairwells, communal doors, glazed areas, lighting, high & low level dusting, litter picking outside, ensuring bin chutes are clear and bins not overflowing and all areas are clean and litter free.You will be responsible for monitoring and dealing with flytipping in specified areasYou will also carry out Health & Safety checks ensuring communal areas are free from combustible materials, slip and trip hazards, reporting any issues identified to Compliance.You will be carrying out proactive maintenance and reporting to repairs contractor in communal areas, including but not limited to; light bulbs, door handles, removal of weeds from hard standings / path areas, jet washing, painting / moss removal/touching up of walls, graffiti removal, adjusting light timers etc.You will be partnership working with the external environmental agenciesWhat youll needFull UK driving licencePreferable to have worked in a similar Caretaker roleCompetent in IT and using PDAsAbility to work as part of a team or on your ownAbility to manage your own time and work to deadlinesDemonstrate a positive can do attitudeA flexible approach to the working dayYou are as comfortable working on your own as you are as part of a teamSite Health and Safety awareness for yourself and othersWhat we need from youYou will be required to attend a number of face to face training sessions as well as virtual sessions and e-learning this part of your role is vital and of equal importance as the day to day aspects.A commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work.
