Job Description

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax compliance work.
• Provide expert advice on personal tax planning, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing queries and building strong professional relationships.
• Review and approve the work of junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship where needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations at all times.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients accordingly.
• Support the firm's business development activities by identifying potential new clients or services.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless service for clients with complex needs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Personal Tax Manager should have:

• Relevant qualifications such as ATT or CTA, or equivalent experience in personal tax management.
• Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation, particularly in inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse client portfolio effectively.
• Experience in reviewing and mentoring junior staff members.
• Excellent communication skills to foster strong client relationships.
