Job purpose: Assist with a variety of tasks to enable positive physical activities and voluntary work opportunities based on interests.
Responsibilities
- Build a positive, trusting relationship and keep the client safe.
- Support and work alongside in activities outside the home, such as volunteer gardening, litter picking, farming tasks, conservation tasks, animal care, traveling to venues for voluntary work.
- Attend adult education classes with the client, when available (e.g., gardening, craft).
- Participate in physical exercises including walking, table tennis, horse riding, and cycling sessions.
- Assist with home activities: tending chickens, gardening and outdoor jobs (vegetable growing, weeding, lawn care), upcycling furniture, and preparing lunch.
- Tasks may vary daily.
Hours & Flexibility
Flexible hours to be mutually agreed. Minimum 6 hours, maximum 20 hours per week. Days should be regular but flexible.

- Willing and able to travel.
- Interest or experience in outdoor activities such as gardening, animals, farming, conservation work.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Interest in outdoor activities such as gardening, farming, animals, conservation.
- Good at engaging/communicating with others.
- Ability to stay calm and help reduce/anxiety.
- Enhanced DBS check for adult workforce (paid for by employer).
- Driving licence and use of car with insurance, or ability to travel by public transport.
- Experience encouraging and motivating, a good role model.
- Respectful of the Christian faith.
- Experience working with people with a learning disability.
- Training in Positive Behaviour Support and ability to support people with challenging behaviour or heightened anxiety.
- Knowledge of chickens and other animals (preferred).
