Personal Injury Solicitor – Leeds

A leading UK legal services provider is seeking an experienced Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer, or experienced Personal Injury File Handler to manage a specialist caseload of pain-related injury claims. This role focuses on progressing MOJ and Intermediate Track motor claims, ensuring cases are handled efficiently while delivering excellent client care and maximising damages.

Role Overview:

  • Manage a specialist caseload of pain-related personal injury claims, including MOJ and Intermediate Track motor cases
  • \n\t
  • Progress claims under the Serious Injury Guide and Rehabilitation Code where appropriate, supporting early case planning and collaborative working with stakeholders
  • \n\t
  • Identify and pursue all relevant heads of loss to maximise client damages
  • \n\t
  • Liaise with medical experts, counsel, insurers and other external parties to progress claims effectively
  • \n\t
  • Conduct risk assessments throughout the lifecycle of each case and ensure due diligence checks are completed
  • \n\t
  • Issue proceedings where necessary and attend conferences or hearings with Counsel
  • \n\t
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and stakeholders while working toward case progression and settlement targets
  • \n\t
  • Support the development of paralegals and apprentices within the team
  • \n
\n\n

Experience Required

\n\n
    \n\t
  • Solicitor, CILEx qualified, or experienced personal injury file handler with experience managing your own caseload
  • \n\t
  • Proven experience handling claimant personal injury claims, particularly OIC or MOJ motor claims
  • \n\t
  • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and the Intermediate Track Fixed Fee regime introduced in October 2023
  • \n\t
  • Strong drafting, analytical and client care skills
  • \n\t
  • Ability to manage workload effectively while working toward performance and settlement targets
  • \n\t
  • Confident IT skills, including experience with case management systems and MS Office
  • \n
