I experienced a severe brain injury following a cardiac arrest when I was younger, so I now need round-the-clock support from both my family and a small care team. I have limited mobility and use a hoist for transfers. Im also visually impaired and non-verbal, so its important that my support workers get to know the ways I communicate. I eat and take all my medication through a PEG.I love getting out and about, being active in the community, and enjoying things that are age-appropriate and meaningful.
