Salt are very excited to be partnered with a Global Retail Brand who are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own the German Amazon Marketplace.


This role requires the ability to speak German.


Key Responsibilities


  • Shape and roll out a performance marketing strategy for the German Market.
  • Work closely with external partners to deliver German market campaigns across Amazon Marketplace.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., commercial, brand, finance) to adapt messaging and activation plans to local market conditions.
  • Oversee the adaptation of creative and media assets, ensuring they are correctly tailored and compliant with platform standards.
  • Track day-to-day campaign results, identify issues promptly, and implement optimisation actions to enhance visibility, efficiency, and returns.
  • Produce regular performance summaries, highlighting trends, insights, and recommended actions for improved outcomes.
  • Maintain strong communication with agencies to ensure high-quality campaign delivery and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate promotional activity with marketplace calendars and merchandising priorities, working in partnership with key account teams.
  • Support the tracking and allocation of marketing budgets, escalating concerns and ensuring spend is used efficiently.


Required Experience and Skills


  • Minimum of three years’ experience in performance marketing, ideally with exposure to ecommerce marketplaces or retail media environments.
  • Ability to speak and write German to a professional standard.
  • Amazon marketplace experience is a must.
  • Degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable success in planning and executing measurable performance marketing activity.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace advertising systems and optimisation best practices.
  • Familiarity with analytical or bidding management platforms.
  • Confidence managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and project-management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
