I am partnering with a major, highly regarded retail group to appoint an experienced People Partner to support a dynamic Buying, Merchandising and Design population at Head Office.
This is a high-impact, commercially focused partnering role, working closely with Heads of Buying across multiple brands. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing confident, pragmatic people advice and influencing senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, creative and performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with senior Buying, Merchandising and Design leaders, offering robust and commercially grounded people advice
Build strong, trusted relationships with influential, strong-willed stakeholders and operate as a true thought partner
Support delivery of the people strategy, including actions arising from engagement survey insights
Drive core BAU activity across talent development, performance management and organisational effectiveness
Provide senior-level ER advice, with administrative and process support from a People Assistant and Senior ER Advisor
Line manage a People Assistant, supporting their development and effectiveness
Ensure consistent, fair and commercial people decision-making across the population
About You
An experienced People Partner (this is not a first-time partnering role)
Ideally prior experience partnering with Buying, Merchandising or Design teams within retail or consumer-led environments
Commercially astute, confident and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders
Strong relationship builder with credibility, resilience and sound judgement
Passionate about people, culture and driving outcomes through partnership

Approx. 200-400 employees within scope
Reporting into a Senior People Partner
Second-appointment People Partner level
