Job Title: PDI and Quality Manager\n\nLocation: Time will be split between Winsford, Cheshire and Hebden Bridge, West Yorks \n\nSalary: Competitive \n\nJob Type: Full Time, Permanent\n\nAbout The Company:\n\nGemco is the largest garage equipment company in the UK providing repair, maintenance, installation and sales solutions to a range of fast fit centres, dealerships, independent garages and commercial fleet operators.\n\nAbout The Role:\n\nWe are committed to continuous improvement and as PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) & Quality Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the pre-sale operations for our range of garage equipment. You will oversee the process of equipment undergoing rigorous quality inspections and testing, to ensure that it will meet industry regulations and company standards and requirements, as well as meeting our customers' expectations. Working with several different departments and reporting directly to the Head of Technical & Training, you will also be responsible for managing the PDI team.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOverseeing the PDI department\nResponsible for the new product introduction process\nConducting product testing, working with manufacturers for continuous improvements and R&D\nManaging CE / Government approvals to ensure the business and products are compliant\nConducting regular equipment batch testing to ensure quality is maintained\nProviding technical feedback for marketing, sales and supplier development for warranty rates and continuous improvement\nSupporting marketing, sales and supplier development with technical recommendations and specifications for existing and new products\nDeveloping partnerships with key product suppliers / manufacturers / product managers\nCreating, updating and maintaining RAMS for new and existing products\nCreating processes and procedures for the PDI department\nInspecting returned parts and equipment in line with warranty procedures\nManaging "Quarantined" stock / repairsAbout you:\n\nYou will need to be able to commute between our Head Office (Training Centre) and Warehousing sites (a vehicle will be supplied)\nPrior experience of working in or knowledge of a technical training department\nStrong technical background ideally in electro-mechanics and experience working with a wide range of equipment\nSignificant attention to detail and accuracy\nA good communicator, used to dealing with a wide variety of people using different methods\nAttend training as required by the role including, but not limited to, technical training first aid / fire marshal trainingBenefits:\n\nCompany Vehicle\n'Medicash' Healthcare Plan\n25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 26 days with service.\nCompany sick pay (increasing with service)\nCompany pension scheme\nLife Assurance Scheme (increasing with service)\nBereavement leave\nNew engineer referral programme paying up to £2,500 per referralPlease click the APPLY button to send your CV for this role, ideally to include a covering letter explaining why you feel that you would be suitable.\n\nGemco UK Ltd believes in equality of opportunity and will fairly consider all applicants regardless of gender, beliefs, or .\n\nCandidates with experience of Quality Control Manager, Technical Compliance Manager, New Product Introduction Manager, Equipment Quality Manager, PDI Team Lead, Production Quality Manager, Electro-Mechanical Quality Manager, Technical Services Manager, Technical Standards Manager, Product Lifecycle Manager, Warranty and Quality Manager, Incoming Quality Control Manager, Technical Supervisor, Engineering Quality Lead, NPI Manager, Technical Operations Manager may also be considered
