PCB Assembly TechnicianLocation: North West England Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and motivated PCB Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern production environment, supporting the assembly and testing of high-quality electronic products.You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the delivery of daily and weekly production plansPerform hand soldering of components onto PCBs to a high standardCarry out visual inspections and quality checksProgram PCBs using appropriate test equipment and fixturesConduct functional testing of assembled PCBsOperate automated PCB assembly equipmentMonitor component stock levels and report shortagesParticipate in periodic stock takesHealth & SafetyFollow all site health and safety proceduresWear appropriate PPE for tasks and work areasCarry out safety checks before starting tasksReport any accidents or near misses promptlyQualityEnsure all products meet required quality standardsAccurately complete quality documentationIdentify and suggest improvements to processes and qualityEscalate and manage non-conformances using internal processesOperational PerformanceWork closely with team leaders to maintain efficient production flowSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesActively look for ways to improve efficiency and workflowHousekeepingMaintain a clean, organised, and safe working environmentKeep walkways and work areas clear at all timesSkills & Experience RequiredExperience in PCB assembly and hand solderingStrong inspection and quality control skillsExperience with PCB programming and functional testingFamiliarity with automated assembly equipmentBackground in an SMT manufacturing/production environmentGCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishDesirable SkillsIPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification (or equivalent)HNC or similar technical qualificationAdditional SMT experienceJBRP1_UKTJ
