Position :Payroll Specialist Location : Sheffield Business Park S9 1HX Contract type :Permanent, 40 hours (9am-5pm) Rate :£28,000
This is an exciting opportunity to join Exemplar Health Care as our new Payroll Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our colleagues are paid correctly and on time.
Supporting the delivery of payroll for over 5,000 employees across more than 60 care homes in England, youll be at the heart of our operation, providing stability and recognition for our dedicated teams.

About the role
As a Payroll Specialist with Exemplar Health Care, youll support with all aspects of our payroll processes. No two days are the same, but your key responsibilities will include:
managing the end-to-end payroll process using our external systems and portals
inputting data into the payroll system and conducting thorough audit checks
conducting reconciliation and variance audit checks each pay period
managing payroll outputs for validation and sign-off
marrying out duties around auto enrolment and salary sacrifice pension schemes, including importing contributions to our pension provider
reconciling monthly and withheld pension contributions
overseeing the Payroll Team inbox and escalating enquiries as appropriate
processing manual calculations and supplementary payments
carrying out end of year processing, including submitting RTI to HMRC and issuing P60s
ensuring all data is managed in line with GDPR regulations
supporting the team with ad-hoc payroll tasks.
About you

Youll also have:
two years relevant end to end experience
strong communication skills
good IT/Microsoft Office skills
a good understanding of multi-location payroll functions
CIPP payroll qualification Level 3/Technician Certificate (preferred but not essential).
