Payroll & Pensions Manager

We are working on behalf of a highly regarded organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll and Pension Manager to join their finance function on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will lead a small payroll team and take ownership of multiple in-house payrolls, while playing a key role in team development and continuous improvement during an exciting period of change.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee four in-house payrolls (two weekly and two monthly) Lead, support and develop a small payroll team, ensuring high performance and engagement Provide hands-on payroll expertise while maintaining strong controls and compliance Support the team through upcoming organisational and payroll-related change Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy Act as a key point of contact for payroll and pension-related queries and escalations
About You
A strong people manager with proven experience leading and developing payroll teams Extensive technical, in-house payroll experience Demonstrable experience delivering process improvements within payroll Confident operating in a changing environment with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
