Payroll Coordinator Role Overview
Forge Talent have partnered with a leading service provider as they look to further grow their local and international footprint. Due to increased business demands they are now recruiting for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their friendly and high performing Payroll team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced and detail focussed Payroll clerk to further develop their experience in a growing role and environment. Applicants will ideally be studying towards or be keen to being the CIPP qualifications.
Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team to collaboratively fulfil the below duties:
Accurately processing 3 monthly payrolls for a multi-site workforce made up of circa 6000 employees.
Taking responsibility for all aspects of Auto enrolment and Pension administration, including starters, leavers, contributions, and monthly returns
Continually ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and internal policies
Proactively responding to employee payroll queries and working to provide a prompt and effective resolution.
Supporting year-end activities, including P60s, P11Ds, and reconciliation tasks
Assisting with audits and continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function and wider business
Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Payroll Coordinator Required Experience:
Previous experience of processing and overseeing the end-to-end payroll cycle for a high volume of employees
A comprehensive understanding of all payroll legislation including PAYE, NI, statutory payments, and pension regulations.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks inline with business needs.
The ability to work towards time sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to processing statutory payments (SSP/ SMP/ SPP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate payroll information to employees.
The ability to perform accurate calculations and reconciliations.
Be studying towards CIPP qualifications or a desire to begin studies
Strong computerised systems and Excel skills (experience of using PXD is highly advantageous although not essential)
A positive approach to tasks and duties with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a friendly team.
A desire to continue to develop in a payroll career path.
TPS (Teachers Pension Scheme) exposure is highly advantageous.
