Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
Location: Leicester – Hybrid (majority work from home)
Contract: Temp to Perm Full-time

You’ll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, taking ownership of payrolls while being trusted to work independently.

Managing and processing multiple payrolls with confidence
Handling complex pay elements such as overtime, bank worker timesheets, loyalty bonuses, and service awards
Managing high-volume onboarding, ensuring payroll data is accurate from day one
Owning payrolls for around 225 employees, many with regular changes
Working to multiple monthly deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy
Completing detailed manual data entry, where attention to detail truly matters
Using Sage 50 Payroll (training provided if needed)
Contributing to the future implementation of a new cloud-based payroll system
Providing a friendly, professional service to colleagues and stakeholders
Reviewing existing processes and suggesting improvements where you see opportunitiesWhat will help you succeed

Experience in high-volume payroll processing
A solid understanding of payroll fundamentals, including tax, maternity, paternity, and statutory payments
The ability to adapt quickly to new systems (Sage 50 experience is helpful but not essential)
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
Confidence working independently with minimal supervision
