Are you a detail-driven payroll professional with technical expertise and public sector experience? Our confidential public sector client is seeking a Technical Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their team and play a critical role in delivering accurate and compliant payroll and benefits services across their complex organisation.
This is a fully remote opportunity, offering autonomy and the chance to work with a supportive and forward-thinking payroll function.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process high-volume, complex payrolls in compliance with public sector regulations. Act as a Workday superuser, supporting payroll configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, including statutory reporting, reconciliations, RTI submissions, and audit requirements. Coordinate and administer employee benefits schemes including pensions (LGPS/NHS/Teachers' Pension schemes preferred), cycle-to-work, season ticket loans, and more. Liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure accurate delivery of payroll and benefits. Assist in process improvement initiatives and system optimisations within Workday.
✅ Ideal Candidate:
