Payroll Administrator

Salary: Up to £30,000
Contract: 6-month FTC
Location: Doxford
Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home

Support a growing payroll team during a transition to a new system, ensuring weekly and monthly payrolls are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

*

End-to-end processing of high-volume weekly and monthly payrolls

*

Process starters, leavers, and payroll changes

*

Produce and distribute payslips, P45s, P60s, and pension letters

*

Administer statutory payments (SMP, SPP, SAP), court orders, and student loans

*

Manual calculations as required

*

Ensure HMRC filings are completed accurately and on time

*

Respond to payroll queries from employees and management

Ideal Candidate Profile

*

Previous payroll experience in a busy environment (700–1000+ employees)

*

Experience with high-volume weekly payroll processing

*

Strong understanding of current UK payroll legislation (NI, statutory payments, etc.)

*

Proficient in computerised payroll systems

*

Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills

*

High integrity and respect for confidential data

*

Confident with MS Office, particularly Excel & Word
