Team: People Operations Reports to: People Operations Manager Salary: Up to £40,000 Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Role Purpose
Ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery while providing clear advice and support on pay, benefits, and the employee lifecycle. Act as a payroll and systems expert, driving continuous improvement and supporting wider People Operations activity when required.
Key Responsibilities
First point of contact for payroll and benefits queries. Process multiple payrolls, working with Finance and external payroll providers. Maintain accurate payroll data within HR systems and meet payroll deadlines. Manage pensions administration, including assessments, contributions, and re‑enrolment. Oversee benefit renewals, liaising with brokers and third‑party providers. Support annual salary and bonus reviews and respond to audits. Produce payroll and reward reporting as required. Provide cover and support across People Operations when needed.Experience & Skills
Payroll experience in a fast‑paced environment. Strong understanding of statutory payroll and basic employment law. Experience with HR systems, pensions, audits, and reward schemes. Strong numerical, organisational, and communication skills.
