Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled commis and CDP Baker to join our bakery team at Milk Run. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring that all products are of the highest quality and presented beautifully. Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new recipes and improve existing ones. Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure they meet our standards. Assist in training new kitchen staff on baking techniques and food safety practices. Requirements Proven experience in a kitchen or culinary environment, preferably within a restaurant or bakery setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and baking with creativity in recipe development. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with various baking techniques and equipment is desirable.
