Simply Education is proud to be working with a small, nurturing independent provision in the Barnsley area, dedicated to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We are seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis (2 days per week) . This is an ideal opportunity for someone currently working on supply or looking for a better work-life balance without compromising on impact.
About the Role
Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Functional Skills to GCSE level)

Work 16 hours per week (2 days) in a supportive, close-knit setting

Plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours

Use a spiral curriculum approach , revisiting and building on key concepts to deepen understanding

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and support staff

Who We're Looking For
A teacher with a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND

Minimum 2 years' experience in an SEN, SEMH, or similar setting

QTS or QTLS (essential)

A resilient, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching and learning
