Role Overview
The Migration Lead will be responsible for the delivery of strategic migration initiatives across Bupa Global Operations, ensuring the seamless transition of customers and accounts from system to system, to new products, regulators, insurers or partners. This role supports transformation projects and new partnerships, protecting the interests of our Customers, our People, and our Business. They will ensure the migrations are implemented in a robust and sustainable way, ensuring business readiness, and all benefits are tracked and ideally realised.
The role holder will ensure delivery of transformation projects are controlled, well communicated, planned, and managed, with strong alignment between initiatives. The Migration Lead will be expected to create a well-constructed migration plan, clearly articulate and resolve any risks and issues that may impact delivery and coordinate all requirements to deliver migration activities. They will ensure that all migrations have a clear roadmap for delivery, and that the customer is at the front and centre of each decision.
What you’ll do:
- Lead on all business readiness activities for assigned migration initiatives as defined by the Global Strategy and Projects impacting our Operation and Partnerships. These may include migration in relation to partners, insurers, business structure, role and people changes, digital solutions, product changes and outsourcing.
- Understand desired “to be” customer service experience to design and deliver detailed migration solutions in line with the business strategy whilst adhering to all relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Understand the key drivers within BG (for example, repeat calls, NPS and CIS surveys, and complaints). Analyse this information and other required data to design detailed migration plans, coordinate activity and make recommendations within assigned projects.
- Identify the impacts of migration activities for all functions and deliver robust solutions to minimise risk, meet regulatory requirements and delivery efficiency.
- Identify potential risks, current issues, and mitigating actions, providing input on risk reduction and escalating where needed.
- Work collaboratively with Transformation and IT to identify all systems requirements that support migration activities.
- Work collaboratively with other functional areas and planning teams, as required, to ensure successful delivery of migration within projects.
- Engage, update and influence key stakeholders and sponsors, and their teams, to drive the desired results.
- Create a clear plan, acknowledging resource and system constraints and providing robust roadmap throughout delivery of migrations to support project delivery.
- Agree the RACI for yourself, impacted stakeholders, and any other people you are engaging with.
- Document strong, clear processes and procedures for all migrations being implemented into the operational teams.
- Support the development of training, communication, and engagement materials to support the project delivery.
- Assess the effectiveness of implemented migration solutions, both pre and post go-live through detailed analysis of data, success measures, and make recommendations for go-live and further improvements if needed.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of operating in a change role in a multi-regional/global organisation, ideally in the Financial Services sector
- Strong knowledge of Bupa Global’s system and products
- A proven track record of delivering global and strategic transformation projects
- Experience in managing stakeholders to deliver targeted business results/KPIs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build and strengthen relationships within the business at all levels.
- Previous experience of a change role in a regulated financial services environment highly desirable
Qualifications, Training & Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Background education in customer service, operations or relevant professional qualification desirable
