2025 marks the 10th anniversary since London’s local authorities came together to launch the first dedicated LGPS investment pool, London CIV. With c.£52bn AUM, the 32 boroughs and City of London mandate London CIV to increase efficiency, drive down costs and compound value through scale and a collective strategy approach to investing.

London CIV already meets the standards of the Government’s LGPS ‘Fit for Future’ proposals and is fast evolving. This is an exciting time for the business that is anticipating significantly more Partner Fund assets transitioning into pooling, developing the capability to be the primary source of Partner Fund investment strategy advice, and increased responsibility for its implementation. London CIV are committed to playing their part in developing a sustainable plan, not just for the London-based local government schemes (LGPS), but for the overall LGPS across England and Wales.
