Salary :£28,000 pro rata Hours: 20 hrs per week between Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm (to be discussed) Location: Luton, Beds
Overview you will be working with this small and perfectly formed, HR team, supporting them with the management and coordination of high level security clearances required for government, police, aerospace and airport security sectors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
as always, whilst there is a list of duties and responsibilities, others can pop up at times as they do in all jobs (well, most), so flexibility is a must. In the meantime, here are the key ones:
* being responsible for and managing all high-level security vetting processes from end to end. From applications, renewals, compliance checks and secure document handling
* liaising with external authorities eg governmental bodies, police, regulatory bodies, airport security etc
* ensuring all security clearance records are updated accurately, confidentially and fully legally compliant
* Supporting the companies employee working lifecycle from assisting in the recruiting process, to onboarding, to contract compilation and amendments, to leavers and everything in-between
* Helping compile and update HR records and HR systems in a confidential and professional manner
* Support the coordination of training activities, booking courses, and updating training records
* Provide admin support for HR activities including ER meetings, including scheduling, documentation and minute taking
* maintain personnel records eg absence, sickness, holidays, payroll, etc in an accurate, professional and confidential manner
* Ensure all documentation for payroll, benefits, pension documents are correctly compiled, recorded and updated
* Provide compliance activities such as references, right to work checks, share code updates, DBS checks and reviews, references, etc as all regulatory and legal practices require
* Assist with any HR projects
* Support with staff events, inductions, internal communication rollouts
* Ensure great admin support in a confidential, professional and timely manner
Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements
* Excellent, strong administrative skills with a proven, stable employment history in a related role, ideally HR
* Excellent IT skills
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
* Proven experience of working in a confidential, information sensitive environment
* Previous HR or security clearance admin experience
* Excellent understanding and professional respect of data protection, compliance and confidentiality is a must
* Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship is offered for this role)

* A self starter with great focus and motivation
* Someone that can use their initiative and cope with a busy, high pressurised role at times to ensure deadlines met
* Someone who can multitask and prioritise
* Organised
* Ideally a driver as there are multiple sites
