Free staff parking A day in the life of As a Hotel Painter and Decorator you'll be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic quality of guest rooms, public spaces, and exteriors by performing painting, surface preparation, wallpapering, and repairs, Key job responsibilities include repairing drywall, applying paint/finishes, managing inventory, and ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards while minimizing disruption to guests. You will conduct regular inspections (floor walks) of public areas and rooms to identify and immediately repair defects. Maintaining and monitoring the inventory of paint, supplies, and tools will also form acrucial part of your role. What do we need from you? Good knowledge of Painting and Decoration and repair techniques Communication and customer service skills: The role requires interacting with guests and colleagues, so strong communication and customer service skills are essential. Attention to detail: Youll need an eye for detail to be able to identify potential issues before they turn into bigger problems. Time management: Youll need to be able to effectively manage your time to prioritise key hotel projects Technical skills: Basic knowledge of computer systems, software programs and digital tools such as maintenance management software and online scheduling tools would be highly advantageous to allow you to track work orders, manage inventory, and communicate with other departments.
