Role Overview: The Shorterm Group are currently looking for an experienced rolling stock Paint Sprayer to join the team of one of our valued clients, at their Derby site, supporting the manufacture and refurbishment of rail vehicles throughout the UK.

This role will begin as a 3-month trial period, following which, you will be offered a full time, permanent contract. Our client is looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer who has the capability and drive to quickly develop into a more senior role within the paint shop.

Key Responsibilities: * Work will be a combination of full spray and SMART repairs on exterior panels and components to be fitted onto trains. * Your role will be primarily the paint application of Axalta paint however will also include some surface preparation. * The role requires the completion of any necessary paperwork. * To take a senior/leadership role in the paint shop. * To understand all Standard Operating Procedures and work to these without exception, unless advised by management. * Ensure the required daily workload is completed on time and to the customer and company standard. * To carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your Production Manager in line with Company objectives.

Requirements: * Previous paint spraying and prepping experience on rolling stock or similar. * Must have previously used Axalta paints * Ability to prep, mask, paint and polish to a high standard * Previous leadership experience.
