Operations Specialist

Company: Navro - Pioneering the Future of Payments
Operations Specialist: Be the Backbone of Global Payments at Navro
This isn't a typical operations role - this is about building and executing flawless payment processes from the ground up, driving immediate impact in a fast-scaling FinTech.
We're Navro, a rapidly scaling B2B payments startup, and we're looking for an organised, detailed, self-starter to join our Operations Team. This is your chance to become an expert in our payment flows, ensure the accuracy of every transaction, and make a direct impact on our clients' success. You won't have layers of approval slowing you down. This isn't a passenger role. We're bringing you in for your expertise, your relentless drive for precision, and your commitment to operational excellence.
Who We Are
We are transforming payments for global platforms and e-commerce businesses. As the world's first payments curation platform, we simplify cross-border transactions by uniting best-in-class infrastructure into a seamless ecosystem, enabling businesses to scale and operate effortlessly across borders. Cross-border workforce payments are slow, expensive, and outdated. We can't be. Businesses rely on us to pay their people accurately and on time - contractors, freelancers, and employees across the globe. When we say we'll deliver, failure isn't an option. If we don't do what we said we would, people don't get paid - not just a transaction delayed, but real workers left without wages. That means a developer in Argentina missing their paycheck, a freelancer in the Philippines unable to pay rent, or a contractor in Poland unable to get to work. No excuses. No passengers. No tolerance for politics or mediocrity.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional client experiences at Navro. This role spans a number of critical operational activities, all focused on ensuring the accuracy of payment information, compliance with regulations, and the smooth and correct execution of transaction monitoring processes for our clients.
This role operates on a shift basis to ensure continuous global coverage. You will be expected to work across the following shifts:
- Shift 1: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (local time)
- Shift 2: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (local time)
What This Role Demands:
You Own Your Impact: You're accountable for the accuracy and smooth execution of your operational activities. If a payment detail is off, it's on you to ensure it's correct.
You Ask Questions & Improve: You don't just follow procedures; you seek understanding, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to making processes better.
You Fix What's Broken (Proactively): No waiting for permission. If you spot a discrepancy or an inefficient step, you dive in to research and resolve it.
You're Hands-On: One minute you're validating client payment requirements, the next you're deep in KYC due diligence reviews or screening activities using transaction monitoring tools.
You Thrive in Chaos: Startups are messy. Payment flows are complex, and new challenges arise daily. You bring clarity and meticulousness to ensure smooth operations.
You Handle the Pressure: Fast-paced. High stakes with client funds. You balance multiple tasks, manage tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
You're Here for the Journey: This is career-defining. It's hard, rewarding, and not for the faint-hearted. If you're ready to grow alongside Navro, let's build something amazing together.
What You'll Be Doing:
As an Operations Specialist, you will be a key contributor to our operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Assist in the validation of client payroll and other payment requirements to ensure sufficient information is provided for successful setup and configuration
- Reconcile file data to ensure accuracy of information and research discrepancies in payment information files and/or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures before processing
- Assist with KYC due diligence reviews (ID verification, document review, open source searches, etc.)
- Screen and monitor customer activities for onboarding, ongoing transactions, periodic reviews, and trigger events using transaction monitoring tools
- Act as the first point of contact for clients for all payment and onboarding-related queries by email and by phone
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all client support processes and policies, adhering to frequent changes
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and share knowledge within the team
Payments & AML Pro: Experience in Payments and/or AML/transaction monitoring in a regulated fintech environment.
Tool Savvy: Solid G-suite/spreadsheet skills and data entry proficiency.
Detail-Obsessed: You don't miss a thing. Your keen eye ensures accuracy, especially when working on repetitive tasks.
Problem Solver: Ability and willingness to troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions, navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Collaborator Extraordinaire: A team player with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a cross-functional team, sharing information and interacting positively with others in high-pressure situations.
Client-Focused: You are the first point of contact for client queries, maintaining a thorough understanding of support processes and policies.
Eager to Learn & Grow: Enthusiasm, eagerness, and an outgoing nature with a willingness to learn and develop, happy to take on additional responsibilities and ad-hoc tasks.
Grit & Passion: While you might not tick every single box, if you have most of the required experience combined with grit, passion, a desire to learn quickly, and the willingness to get stuck in, we encourage you to apply.
