Operations Scheduler

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and maintain operational work schedules
Monitor workforce availability and support proactive resource planning
Ensure accurate recording of staff rotas, absences, training and contractual hours
Apply Trust policies and legislation consistently and fairly
Support absence coordination and annual leave management with sensitivity and confidentiality
Communicate scheduling decisions clearly and professionally to staff and managers
Identify potential resourcing pressures and escalate concerns appropriately
Maintain high levels of data accuracy across workforce records and reports
Support and guide colleagues, including new starters, as required
Manage high‑volume emails and telephone queries efficiently
Contribute to team targets, KPIs and service improvementsSkills & Experience Required:
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
Confident IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to explain processes clearly and handle sensitive conversations with professionalism
Calm, resilient approach when working under pressure or managing competing priorities
Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive mindset
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
