With over 25 years of success, our client is a well-established and respected organisation within their sector, currently experiencing continued growth. They are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations & Purchasing Assistant to join their Gloucestershire-based team (GL19).

Full training and ongoing support will be provided, with clear opportunities to grow as the business expands. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of purchasing, stock control, logistics coordination and reporting activities, working closely with internal teams and overseas manufacturing partners. Key Responsibilities: -Assist with raising and processing purchase orders -Communicate with overseas manufacturing partners in China, Vietnam and Thailand regarding order updates and production timelines -Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation -Monitor delivery schedules and support with follow-ups where required -Update and maintain stock records, assisting with tracking incoming and outgoing goods -Provide general administrative support to the operations function -Assist in coordinating international shipments, liaising with freight forwarders and warehouse partners -Maintain internal spreadsheets and reporting systems -Assist with preparing operational and purchasing reports -Update and analyse basic stock and sales data using Excel Candidate Attributes: -Fluent Mandarin speaker (essential) to support communication with overseas suppliers -Strong attention to detail and organisational skills -Confident using Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate xehkeey level) -Good communication skills, both written and verbal -Eager to learn and develop within operations and supply chain -Able to work independently once trained and manage workload effectively Previous experience in administration, purchasing, logistics or a business-related degree would be advantageous but is not essential. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum (depending on experience) + free parking, opportunities to grow within the company, discretionary company bonus scheme, pension scheme and gifted days off over the Christmas period
