Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum

About the Role

A well-respected specialist in structural steelwork and civil engineering is looking for a highly capable Operations Manager to lead their Civil Engineering and Structural Steelwork Division based on-site at a prominent energy facility near Chester.

This senior leadership role involves overseeing the smooth delivery of complex, high-profile projects while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations for the Civil Engineering and Structural Steelwork Division at the energy sector site.
Plan, coordinate, and ensure successful delivery of multiple projects within time, budget, and quality targets.
Manage, develop, and mentor site teams, ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and company policies.
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to support seamless collaboration.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the wider business development strategy.
Monitor project progress, prepare commercial reports, and provide operational performance updates to senior management.
Ensure effective resource planning, cost control, and budget management.
Champion continuous improvement across all operational activities.About You
Proven experience managing structural steel and civil engineering projects, preferably in high-security or regulated environments.
Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills.
Experience with business development and spotting commercial opportunities.
Solid understanding of commercial reporting and operational performance metrics.
Skilled in project planning, scheduling, and financial oversight.
Comprehensive knowledge of health & safety regulations and industry standards.
