Operations Manager

Our client based in Staffordshire is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead end-to-end operations within a busy, hands-on manufacturing environment. You will oversee production, planning, procurement, logistics/despatch and maintenance to ensure the site runs efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background (preferably high-volume), be comfortable on the shopfloor and bring a practical, down-to-earth leadership style. Someone who has grown through the industry possibly starting out on the tools or in an engineering trade and has since developed into a proven operations leader.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day factory operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and output targets are met.
Oversee production planning, workflow, material movement, and stock control.
Drive continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and process optimisation.
Manage procurement and supply chain activity to ensure material availability and cost control.
Lead logistics/despatch to maintain strong on-time delivery performance.
Oversee maintenance, PPM routines, and asset care to minimise downtime.
Ensure compliance with H&S, Quality, and Environmental standards.
Develop and motivate a multi-discipline operations team.
