Job Title:
Operations Manager – Facilities & Cleaning Services
Location:
Flexible/Hybrid – Midlands based (field-based audits required)
Hours:
Part-Time (25 hours per week over 4 days) - option for full time hours available.
Salary:
£16.00 per hour + holiday entitlement (20 days + 8 statutory)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join a growing commercial cleaning and facilities service provider. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about maintaining high standards in service delivery, compliance, and staff wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management & Compliance
Oversee and audit ISO 9002 and ISO 14002 quality systems. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance across key processes. Ensure accurate invoice and procedural consistency. Monitor staff attendance using a mobile app-based system. Handle customer satisfaction monitoring through regular engagement.
Site Audits & Issue Resolution
Conduct site-based quality audits across active contracts. Assess work standards and report findings to management. Coordinate and track corrective actions for non-conformance issues. Work directly with operational staff to resolve minor issues promptly.
Training & Staff Wellbeing
Review and enhance staff induction training programmes. Monitor training compliance Health & Safety COSHH RIDDOR & incident reporting Safeguarding Conduct periodic staff wellbeing checks and training assessments.
Weekly Duties:
Review attendance logs and follow up on anomalies. Track induction and training progress for new operatives. Monitor performance of sites under remedial action plans.
Monthly Duties:
Issue vehicle safety checks and analyze results. Calculate carbon footprint from energy usage. Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance. Report on site supervision and training targets. Attend monthly management meetings and contribute insight.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
Maintain ISO audit schedule and documentation. Liaise with clients via phone/email to collect feedback. Ensure operatives understand and adhere to H&S protocols.
Candidate Profile:
We’re looking for a confident communicator with an eye for detail who can work independently and collaborate effectively across teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic IT proficiency (Word, Excel, Email). Experience in quality auditing, ideally in cleaning/facilities or service industries. Ability to challenge non-compliance in a professional manner. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
