Job Title: Operations Manager\nLocation: Manchester (National UK role – England & Scotland, travel to customer sites required)\nSalary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum + car allowance + benefits\nHours: 42 hours per week (Monday-Saturday coverage)\n\nAbout the Role\n\nYou will take ownership of one of our key national contracts, delivering end-to-end operations across multiple sites. This high-profile position will see you lead your on-the-ground team, harness performance data to spot trends, and make smart decisions that drive service excellence, financial performance and full compliance.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * \n\n Oversee operations across all sites within the contract, ensuring high operational standards are consistently met.\n\n * \n\n Use performance data to identify trends, highlight issues and drive continuous improvement.\n\n * \n\n Lead, support and coach Area Managers to deliver against KPIs.\n\n * \n\n Collaborate closely with the Contract Director on reporting, planning and key strategic projects.\n\n * \n\n Ensure P&L targets are achieved, and cost-efficiencies identified and acted upon.\n\n * \n\n Manage customer relationships, handle escalations and maintain high satisfaction levels.\n\n * \n\n Conduct site visits to assess standards, compliance and safety.\n\n * \n\n Embed a culture of accountability, share best practice and drive continuous improvement.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in managing large-scale operations, ideally within cleaning or facilities management.\n\n * \n\n Strong analytical skills — confident at turning data into actionable insights.\n\n * \n\n Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to engage at all levels.\n\n * \n\n Highly organised, proactive and adept at juggling multiple priorities.\n\n * \n\n Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.\n\n * \n\n Willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays.\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams to deliver results.\n\n * \n\n Comfortable using Excel and reporting tools to monitor performance and drive improvement.\n\nWhat You’ll Get\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary up to £55,000.\n\n * \n\n Car allowance.\n\n * \n\n Company laptop and phone.\n\n * \n\n Pension scheme.\n\n * \n\n Private health insurance.\n\n * \n\n Career development opportunities within a growing business.\n\nAbout Us\n\nTCFM has been delivering high-quality cleaning and facilities management services for over 60 years.
