Operations Manager / Office Manager
New Yesterday
£30,000 - £45,000 DOE
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to join a growing business in a part-time Operations Manager role. This is a genuinely varied position that sits at the heart of the company — ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership and ensuring the day-to-day operational details are handled efficiently and consistently.
No two days will look the same. One day you might be coordinating fleet requirements or managing compliance certifications; the next, supporting project documentation or liaising with suppliers. What ties everything together is your ability to stay organised, prioritise effectively, and get things done without needing direction.
The Role
This is a part-time, office-based role (2–3 days per week), with some flexibility around working hours once established.
You will be responsible for a wide range of operational and administrative functions, including:
*
Managing company insurances, pensions, and supporting HR administration
*
Coordinating Health & Safety certifications (e.g. CHAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline)
*
Overseeing fleet administration, including servicing, MOTs, and associated accounts
*
Handling office procurement, utilities, and service contracts
*
Maintaining subcontractor compliance records, training matrices, and documentation
*
Supporting warehouse organisation and monitoring stock levels
*
Managing company filing systems and project documentation
*
Preparing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals (full training provided)
*
Assisting with pre-construction tasks such as supplier enquiries and basic take-offs
*
Managing waste certification and compliance documentation
*
Supporting and maintaining internal project management systems
*
Providing general ad-hoc operational support as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
*
Exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities with ease
*
Proactive and self-sufficient, with a strong sense of ownership
*
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment
*
Detail-oriented, particularly when managing compliance and documentation
*
A confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
*
Tech-savvy and open to learning new systems and software
Previous experience in a construction or trade-related environment is beneficial but not essential — full training will be provided for the right individual.
