Health & Safety Manager\n Yorkshire | Full-time | Permanent\n\nSalary - £50,000\n\nA dynamic, fast-paced business is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead safety, compliance, and wellbeing across warehouse, retail, and head office teams. This role is central to maintaining a safe, engaging, and fully compliant working environment, while also supporting efficient warehouse operations.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nHealth, Safety & Compliance\n\nOwn and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, ensuring full compliance with legislation and HSE guidance.\n\nDrive a positive, engaging safety culture, encouraging shared responsibility across all teams.\n\nCarry out and review risk assessments, safe systems of work, COSHH documentation, and training records.\n\nLead internal audits, inspections, and investigations into accidents and near misses, ensuring actions are completed quickly.\n\nManage RIDDOR reporting and liaise with external bodies when needed.\n\nDeliver or coordinate training, inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher sessions.\n\nLead fire safety processes, including drills, equipment checks, and emergency planning.\n\nTrack, analyse, and present H&S KPIs to senior leadership.\n\nOccupational Health & Wellbeing\n\nWork with HR on occupational health, wellbeing initiatives, and return-to-work plans.\n\nEnsure colleagues have the right support following injury, illness, or workplace incidents.\n\nEnvironmental & Sustainability\n\nManage environmental reporting and compliance.\n\nSupport sustainability activity across operations and facilities.\n\nWarehouse Operations Oversight\n\nWork closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain a safe, efficient, high-performing operation.\n\nEnsure colleagues follow safe working practices and hold the correct licences (FLT, First Aid, Fire Marshal).\n\nSupport continuous improvement projects to boost accuracy, safety, and productivity.\n\nOversee space, layout, and equipment planning to maintain safe workflows.\n\nAssist with stock management, audits, and loss-prevention controls.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou're approachable, proactive, and confident influencing at all levels. You bring strong technical H&S knowledge with experience gained in warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environments.
