About the Operations Director role
The Operations Director is a key member of the Hospital's Senior Management Team and instrumental in delivering the Annual Operating Plan in line with the strategy for the Hospital, and Spire Healthcare's Purpose and Values.
Key responsibilities
Capacity – To manage the capacity of the Hospital, maximize the throughput of patients and utilization of all facilities in line with safe standards of care.
Efficiency and engagement – To effectively lead all non-clinical services and colleagues within the hospital through their Heads of Departments to build highly engaged and motivated teams who provide efficient and consistent ways of working in line with the Spire Healthcare "One Best Way".
Performance – To manage the day-to-day operational performance of the Hospital and deliver on the associated key performance indicators.
Key responsibilities – Capacity and utilisation to grow revenue; Leadership to ensure efficient and consistent ways of working; Operational performance management to deliver results; Risk Management.
Who we're looking for
Degree and evidence of postgraduate qualification/CPD.
Record of successful delivery in a senior managerial role.
Previous experience working in the healthcare industry.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving and process improvement skills.
Demonstrable evidence of complex change management in a healthcare setting.
Ability to understand and implement key business processes and complex business issues.
Demonstrated ability in people management to deliver a plan of activity through direct reports.
Ability to work effectively in an organisation where matrix management is key to success.
Ability to understand and manage effectively the impact of competing pressures and conflicting priorities.
Ability to challenge constructively in a solution orientated way.
Qualifications
