A growing, international healthcare distribution and services organisation is looking to appoint an Operations & Compliance Manager to support its next phase of expansion.

With a strong global footprint and ambitious growth plans, this business partners with pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers, and public sector organisations to deliver medicines and specialist services across international markets.


This is a broad, high-impact position sitting within the operations function, combining process improvement, compliance, health & safety, sustainability, and systems/accreditation leadership.

You’ll work cross-functionally with teams including logistics, warehousing, QA, sales, finance, and project management to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the business.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Develop, standardise, and implement policies and procedures
  • Monitor operational performance and KPIs
  • Improve cross-functional workflows and efficiencies

Health & Safety

  • Act as the main H&S lead for the site
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Deliver training and promote a strong safety culture

Sustainability & ESG

  • Lead and implement sustainability strategy and initiatives
  • Drive carbon reduction, waste management, and ethical practices
  • Track and report on ESG metrics and progress
  • Collaborate with teams to embed sustainability across the business

Systems & Accreditations

  • Lead accreditation programmes (e.g. ISO9001, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials)
  • Manage audits, documentation, and compliance processes
  • Support system and process improvements aligned with business growth


About You

  • Experience in operations, compliance, H&S, sustainability, or similar
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and accreditation frameworks
  • Understanding of ESG/sustainability reporting
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Confident working across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • IOSH qualification (desirable)
