We’re representing a successful, long-established engineering company who specialise in the supply, installation, and maintenance of industrial equipment used across manufacturing, automotive, food, and wider industrial sectors. Due to continued growth and increased demand for their service and installation teams, they are now looking for a highly organised Operations Assistant to join their busy onsite office.

The Role

As Operations Assistant, you will be the central coordination point for the service and engineering teams. Your role will include:

Scheduling engineers for planned maintenance, breakdowns, and installation projects

Acting as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates and handling enquiries

*

Preparing job sheets, service documentation, and supporting compliance requirements

*

Ordering parts and equipment, tracking deliveries, and managing stock levels

*

Processing completed engineer reports and updating internal systems

*

Supporting the Operations Manager with reporting, planning, and general administration

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. It suits someone who is proactive, organised, and confident communicating with both customers and engineers.

About You

Essential

*

Previous experience in scheduling, administration, operations support, or service coordination

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively

*

Confident with IT systems and managing multiple tasks at once

*

Calm under pressure and solutions-focused

Desirable

*

Experience within an engineering, technical, service, or field-based environment

*

Knowledge of coordinating engineers or managing service work (not essential)

Full training on the company’s products and systems will be provided.
