  • You will join an experienced clinical team of 15 vets, 17 RVNs, 3 SVNs and a fantastic nonclinical team who will help ensure you have everything you need to provide the best possible care to our clients and their pets

About Us:

Barnsley Vets for Pets Hospital is an RCVS recognised outstanding Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic, that is owned and run locally providing comprehensive 24/7 care to the wider local community and their pets with a dedicated on-site team.

Established in 2002, our facility has evolved into a centre of excellence, equipped with advanced medical technologies, including a CT scanner, rigid and flexible endoscopes, and ultrasound machines. We offer a broad spectrum of services such as neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, ophthalmology stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, alongside our first-opinion practice. Our commitment to exceptional service is reflected in our five outstanding RCVS awards.

Our team comprises 15 Veterinary Surgeons (including our own out-of-hours team), 24 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), 5 Animal Care Assistants (ACAs) and a proficient non-clinical support team. We are united by a passion for delivering the highest standards of care, managing both general and referral cases within the same hospital to ensure seamless, end-to-end patient care.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic, offering 24/7 care for our patients with our own dedicated team. We have state-of-the- art diagnostic imaging including CT, use of endoscopy and orthopaedic equipment as well as all of the usual diagnostics.

This is a full-time role working as part of our dedicated night team, hours are 7.15pm-7.30am, 7 days on 14 days off.

The Person:

You will ideally be confident in emergency and critical care work and enjoy a variety of cases with the ability to work these up to a high standard. You will also be passionate about providing an excellent service and working as part of a highly skilled team.
