Registered Manager – New Children’s Home Opportunity

We are supporting an organisation exclusively to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a brand-new 2-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Registered Manager looking to lead from the front, open a new service, and make a genuine difference to children’s lives.

You will have full responsibility for Ofsted registration, team building, and service development, creating a safe, structured and therapeutic home environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the Ofsted registration process and opening of the home

* Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards (2015)

* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead

* Build and manage a high-performing residential childcare team

* Develop a trauma-informed, child-centred care environment

* Oversee all operational, financial and compliance aspects of the home

* Maintain high standards of care planning and record keeping

* Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections

* Work in partnership with local authorities and external agencies

Requirements

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare)

* Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager

* Proven track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings

* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children’s legislation

* Experience managing teams within children’s residential care

* Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Salary & Benefits

* £60,000 – £80,000 per annum (DOE)

* Full-time, permanent - Monday to Friday

* On-call rota required & Flexibility to meet the needs of the service
