Job Description
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Off Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their team on a contract basis at RAF Coningsby.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nActivity completion - Document all Part 145 work accurately, maintain airworthiness records, produce required reports, flag issues early, and keep personal maintenance competencies up to date.\n\nPerformance delivery - Hit Part 145 output targets and understand how your actions drive overall Continuing Airworthiness performance.\n\nProcedures & standards - Work in full compliance with the Part 145 MOE and company procedures, challenging and improving processes where needed.\n\nSafety management - Apply Human Factors and Error Management principles, understand operational risks, and actively promote SHE best practice in all maintenance tasks.\n\nRegulatory compliance - Demonstrate strong knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness regulations, support regulatory changes, and ensure adherence to requirements such as ITAR, EaPW and ISO.\n\nTechnical maintenance - Carry out detailed maintenance on Aircraft Role Equipment as an experienced, skilled technician.\n\nTechnical information use - Work confidently and independently from approved technical data and in line with the organisation's MOE.\n\nFault diagnosis - Analyse and diagnose equipment faults, follow diagnostic procedures, and support less experienced team members in a fast‑moving operational environment.\n\nSkills we are looking for:\n\nEssential\n\nMRP Part 145 experience - At least 2 years in a CMO within the last 5 years.\n\nStrong communication - Clear, confident verbal and written skills.\n\nAnalytical mindset - Detail‑focused and willing to challenge assumptions.\n\nSecurity cleared - Current clearance required.\n\nIT competence - Confident with MS Office and related systems.\n\nRegulatory knowledge - Solid understanding of MRP Part 145 and Part M processes.\n\nHighly Desirable\n\nTyphoon component maintenance - Current or previous hands‑on experience.\n\nMaintenix proficiency - Skilled user of the maintenance recording toolset.\n\nTyphoon role equipment - Prior experience working with Typhoon RE
