Ocean Import Operator – Felixstowe

Salary: £35,000

Monday – Friday

The Role:

Managing ocean import shipments end-to-end, from arrival through to final delivery, ensuring smooth, compliant and timely movement of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full start-to-finish handling of ocean import shipments
• Customs clearance and documentation management
• Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
• Monitoring shipments and providing proactive updates
• Resolving delays, discrepancies, and customs issues
• Job costing and invoicing
• Maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements:

• Proven experience in ocean imports
• Confident managing shipments end-to-end
• Solid understanding of UK customs procedures (CDS)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
