We are currently recruiting a Nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 4 with significant and complex Special Educational Needs, within a supportive and inclusive primary school.
Role Overview
This role focuses on providing consistent, caring, and developmentally appropriate support for a child whose cognitive and developmental needs are at an early stage. The successful candidate will support the child’s sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing, communication, and personal care needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing school experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 SEN support throughout the school day
Support sensory activities, engagement, and play-based learning
Assist with personal care where required, maintaining dignity at all times
Follow guidance from the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists
Build a calm, trusting relationship with the child
Promote emotional regulation and wellbeingIdeal Candidate
