About the Role - Nurture Teacher
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurture Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Luton, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, PMLD, and SLD.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a nurture provision, supporting pupils who require a therapeutic, relationship-based approach to learning. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop emotional regulation, rebuild confidence, and re-engage with education.
Key Responsibilities - Nurture Teacher - Luton
Plan and deliver tailored, nurture-based lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils Support pupils with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and behaviour for learning Create a safe, predictable, and structured classroom environment Build strong, trusting relationships to support pupils' social and emotional development Use trauma-informed and attachment-aware practices in daily teaching Deliver personalised learning aligned with EHCP outcomes Monitor and track both academic and emotional progress Implement and model positive behaviour strategies and restorative approaches Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, pastoral teams, and external professionals Engage with families and carers to ensure consistent support for pupils
