Nursery Teaching Assistant – Dalston

This is a full-time role, starting from 19th January 2026 and initially running until 27th March 2026, with the potential to be extended. The role is open to a range of qualified professionals, including Teaching Assistants, Nursery Nurses (Level 2+), SEN Learning Support Assistants, and qualified teachers (QTS) who are happy to work within a nursery setting and embrace a hands-on, play-based approach to early years education.
You will support children’s social, emotional and educational development through engaging activities, working closely with the nursery team to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities
* Working closely with nursery staff to support daily routines
* Helping to observe, assess and support individual progress
* Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
* Creating a safe, caring and engaging early years environment
What You’ll Bring
* Experience working within an early years or nursery setting
* A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
* Relevant qualification (TA, Nursery Nurse Level 2+, SEN LSA, or QTS)
Pay Structure
* From £13.70 per hour (Teaching Assistant / Nursery TA)
(Rate applied depending on role duties and qualification)

Important Information
* Temporary role covering the Spring term, with potential to extend
