We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Room Leader to join our team in providing exceptional care and early childhood education to children in our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment. YOU MUST HOLD A LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATION IN CHILDCARE / EARLY YEARS OR EQUIVILANT FOR THIS ROLE. We are also looking for Level 2 and 3 practitioners for the setting. Salary : £28,000 - £30,500 per annum Hours : 40 hours per week Location : Honor Oak Duties * Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. * Support and supervise playroom staff with their day to day duties * Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. * Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms * Implementation of the nursery key carer procedures and allocate children to key carers appropriately * Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. * Ensure the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage * Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. * Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare. * Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities. * Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress as required. * Drive initiatives that promote leadership within the nursery setting. Experience * Hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or above within early years * Have excellent knowledge of EYFS guidelines * Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education * A background in managing or leading teams within a nursery or similar environment is advantageous. * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
